Well we’re into November now and the rain has finally stopped for a little while. It’s been sunny weather all week – high’s in the low 70’s, lows in the low 40’s. We’re finally starting to lose leaves off most of the trees now too so the visibility through the woods has improved greatly.
Our quail season kicks off a week from Saturday (Nov. 14). We’re expecting a good year this year. With all the rain we had this summer the cover has really taken off. We’re seeing lots of birds and we’re still just as surprised when they flush out from under our feet. If you’ve never experienced that rush you need to try it. It never gets old!
Here are some pictures from some past deer hunts at Enon. The deer on the top right scored 163″ and was shot at 4:30pm at 15 yards. The deer on the bottom left was harvested last year and scored 155″. The deer on the bottom right scored 140″. Not sure of the score for the deer on the top left but it’s a good one.
We’ve got the food and the genetics here to produce some trophy animals. We’ve only got a handful of hunts left in December so if you want a shot at harvesting one of these giants give Nan a call. We’re still booking quail hunts also. We’ve got selected dates available in November, December, and January. If you’ve got a particular day in mind give us a call right away. You can book a hunt with Nan at 334-253-2139. We’ll have up some recent hunt pictures soon.
