The bucks are starting to show themselves a little more and are starting to follow the does. They’ll really start acting crazy here soon!

Well we’ve had our first few groups of hunters through and we’ve done pretty well despite all the warm weather. We’re finally getting a little bit of rain but it’s still felt more like summer than fall or winter. We’ve managed to harvest a few does and a hog or two along with a nice 10 pt. The weather is supposed to cool off starting tonight so hopefully we’ll start to see more of the big boys moving around!

Well as most of you know bow season kicks off in a mere 4 days. We’re excited it’s that time of year where we can really see the fruits of our labor. It’s still abnormally dry around here but that’s keeping the deer moving around pretty well. Things are lining up for us to have another great opener this year! For those of you that have hunts booked with us this year don’t forget to bring your cameras. There’s a good chance that if you’re hunting with us you’ll have a reason to use it!
Our game cameras are currently in for repairs so we haven’t gotten any pictures in the last few weeks. When you take as many pictures as we do they just wear out pretty quickly and unfortunately most of them got sick at about the same time. Hopefully we’ll have some pictures next week with some people in them too!

We need some rain! It hasn’t rained here in almost a month now and it is getting powder dry. It has given us plenty of time to work on getting stands set, roads & trails cleared, and food plots plowed. Hopefully this weekend will bring us some moisture!
We don’t have any pictures from this week because some of our cameras are in for repairs and we’ve been so busy getting stands & roads ready that we haven’t pulled the others down to get the pictures off yet. We do, however, have some older pictures that we haven’t shared yet. We’re seeing lots of does & fawns while we’re out working and even catching a glimpse of some awesome bucks. It’s looking like it’s going to be a great season, despite the dry weather.
We hope you’ll decide to come check us out and book a hunt with us this season! We’ve still got a few slots open but they’re getting more scarce so get ‘em while you can. Nan has all the info you need at 334-253-2100.
